Troubleshooting

Overall Conveyor Evaluations include:

• Drive system position and functioning
• Belt tensioning and take-up systems
• Presence and effectiveness of a belt tracking system
• Examine belt support structures
• Check size, condition, placement, and adjustability of shafts and rollers

Belting Issues

• Evaluation of drive system
• Assessment of application, process, and processing environment
• Evaluate old belt – material, weave, welds, damage

Conveyor Alignments

• Level and align all rolls, shafts, bearings, and support members
• Lock bearing adjustments for continued belt tracking
• Assure all bearings are free turning
• Determine if shafts and rollers are concentric
• Provide permanent alignment reference points for future readjustments

Technical Training
